i guess i will have to blog about the weather.
but i'm not complaining.
i wore a long sleeve shirt with a warm gray cardigan.
leggings, two warm socks, my black combat boots.
my favorite, most reliable brown winter jacket.
scarves and earmuffs to top it all off.
but i felt like my teeth were going to fall off
and i was having an outer brain freeze.
once you go from outdoors to inside..
you feel like frozen meat on sang gyup sal frying pan.
i couldn't help but think..
about all the homeless people in evanston.
the brother in his wheelchair in front of cvs.
the other brother in front of wholefoods.
i know God doesn't expect me to fix the world.
but i couldn't help but feel guilty.
and my heart really hurt.
i can't even imagine our Father's.
i don't want these people to lose hope.
but you can get pretty dang depressed when the wind burns your face
and shoots through even your warmest jacket.
how much can clothes do...
as i walked past cvs,
i prayed a little prayer for my brother.
that God would keep him warm.
but i still feel so selfish.
have compassion on both of us God.
we are desperate.
we forget how desperate we are.
thank you for your compassion and steadfast love despite this.
