life seems to be easier when you're living it with a vision.
having a vision makes you feel safe, secure.
having a vision gives you a sense of purpose, direction.
having a vision makes your life feel worthwhile, important.
i've been wanting a vision for a long time.
but realize i've had it all wrong.
the word vision is misleading because you think it has to do with the eyes.
some people have visions with their eyes through dreams and images.
but how much of the word really deals with seeing?
isn't 99% of a vision...believing?
what use is a vision without heart? without believing?
a vision is about having faith in God and his plan for your life...
and exercising that faith, trusting in His sovereignty...silent sovereignty..
you realize you've grown when you look back in retrospect.
you don't know you're growing while you're growing...
so yeah, i've been asking for a vision a long time.
and i know, in the near future, i, in the routine of my forgetfulness, will sit confused yet again.
i'll be in bed, tossing and turning, my heart weak and tired in fear, wondering what the Lord's vision is for me.
but i hope i will remember that God has already given me a vision.
He gave us all one...the same one..that we may help each other achieve and live it out together. the church. one body.
He gave us the vision of Jesus Christ...
Jesus is our vision...
and i pray that i may strive faithfully try to even live like Him...
to deny myself, pick up my cross daily, and live the Gospel.
so i will stop fretting today.
stop worrying about what God's going to do with my life.
stop drawing out my next school year plans.
life's too short.
i need to enjoy my salvation more.
and
BE FREE from this world.
so i look to You.
